Sulthana Safeer, an award-winning innovator who is building technology that solves real-world problems. At just 23, she promises to change the game for women in many fields!
1. What do you consider the main achievements in your life?
One of my greatest achievements has been founding Biebite, an award-winning AI startup dedicated to making healthier food choices more accessible through technology. What began as an idea during university has grown into a company recognized across the UAE.
Beyond building a startup, I graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Systems Engineering, became the founder of my university’s Cyber Club, and have been privileged to receive recognition including the Create Apps Championship, the Indo-Arab Women Excellency Award, and opportunities to speak on innovation and entrepreneurship.
However, my biggest achievement isn’t the awards, it’s proving to myself that a young woman with a vision can build something that has the potential to improve millions of lives.
2. What drives you to be at the Top of your Game? What are your success strategies?
I’m driven by impact. I don’t build technology simply because it’s innovative, I build it to solve real problems that people face every day.
My success comes down to a few principles:
- Stay curious and keep learning.
- Execute consistently, even when progress feels slow.
- Accept criticism as feedback, not failure.
- Build strong relationships with mentors, partners, and my team.
- Never lose sight of the purpose behind the work.
I believe success isn’t about being the smartest person in the room; it’s about showing up every day, improving a little more, and refusing to quit when things become difficult.
3. Have you dealt with failure? If so, how did you overcome it and resurge when all the chips were down?
Absolutely. Entrepreneurship is full of setbacks.
There were moments when investors said no, partnerships didn’t materialize, and months of work had to be rebuilt from scratch. Those experiences were disappointing, but they also became my greatest teachers.
Instead of asking, “Why did this happen to me?” I learned to ask, “What is this trying to teach me?”
Every setback forced me to improve my product, strengthen my leadership, and become more resilient.
Today, I see failure not as the opposite of success but as part of the journey toward it.
4. How easy was it for you to speak up and share your story when times were tough?
It wasn’t easy at all.
Like many entrepreneurs, there were moments when I questioned myself. It’s tempting to only share the highlights and keep the struggles private.
Over time, I realized that authenticity creates stronger connections than perfection ever could.
By openly sharing both the victories and the challenges, I found that my story became more meaningful—not because everything went perfectly, but because I kept moving forward despite the obstacles.
5. What did you have to do in order to be able to share your story to inspire others?
I had to stop waiting until everything was “perfect.”
I realized people aren’t inspired by flawless journeys, they’re inspired by courage, resilience, and honesty.
Sharing my experiences means being vulnerable enough to talk about the setbacks alongside the successes. If my story encourages even one young woman to believe she belongs in technology, entrepreneurship, or leadership, then every challenge has been worthwhile.
My mission is to show others that your background, your age, or the obstacles you face should never define the size of your dreams.
